Revision to Telecommunications Services Policy (3001.3)

SUNY Plattsburgh policy owner ITS revised the Telecommunications Services
Policy.  The Telecommunications Services Policy has been comprehensively
revised to modernize the University's approach to enterprise
telecommunications services. The policy transitions from a legacy telephone
administration and billing policy to an enterprise governance policy that
defines institutional responsibilities for telecommunications
infrastructure, cloud voice services, emergency communications integration,
service provisioning, security, procurement, and lifecycle management. The
revised policy designates Information Technology Services (ITS) as the sole
administrative authority for University telecommunications services,
establishes standards for centrally managed voice services, and aligns the
policy with the University's current telecommunications environment and
