As we prepare for the next phase of SUNY Plattsburgh’s strategic direction,
I invite you to participate in a series of listening sessions designed to
gather input from across our campus community. The initial two sessions
will be hosted for campus employees.
Later sessions will be scheduled to solicit feedback from students and
community stakeholders who represent education, healthcare, business and
economic development.
The overarching goal of these sessions is to collect information that will
help inform the transition to our next institutional strategic plan - we
will begin the development of the new plan in the fall 2026 semester. Each
session will be structured as a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities,
Threats) conversation, focused on identifying our strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats as we look ahead.
This is an opportunity to reflect, share your perspectives, and contribute
to shaping the future direction of the university. These are not town
halls, but working sessions centered on listening and input.
All members of the campus community are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The first session is TODAY, April 9, from 3:30-5:00 p.m in the Faculty and
Staff Lounge, Feinberg Library, Room 335. There is also a Zoom option:

Your voice is an important part of this process, and I hope you will take
this opportunity to participate in one or both of these sessions.
Thank you for your continued commitment to SUNY Plattsburgh.
