*The Plattsburgh Public Library hosts a monthly speaker series*, *Life Long
Learning for All*, to help bring experts into the local community.
*Presentations
are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the
Auditorium* (second floor) *of the Plattsburgh Public Library* (19 Oak St).

*The next presentation is on Wednesday, October 1, at 5:30 PM,* *when Dr.
Vincent Carey will present, “Halloween in Ireland: Celtic Origins,
1960s and 1970s, and Today.” *Here is the description:


This talk will explore the Celtic origins of Halloween in Ireland as well
as my personal memories of Halloween. Finally, we will explore how it has
changed since then with the influence of globalism.

The flyer is attached. *Please come and help us get the word out, including
to our students!* We would love to continue to have great campus as well as
community turnout!

*November’s presentation will be on Wednesday, November 5, at 5:30 PM* when
you can come learn about the theatrical design process for SUNY Plattsburgh
Department of Theatre’s Fall production of *Bunnicula*. Prof. Erika Guay
will explain and display all the steps for the scenic and costume design of
this Theatre for Young Audiences performance.
