🟠 Fri. Oct. 31 - Aspirational Masculinity Workshop

The SUNY Plattsburgh Title IX Office, in collaboration with the NYS Office
for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV) and Aspire NY, will be
hosting a two-part *Aspirational Masculinity Workshop Series* for students,
faculty, and staff facilitated by guest speaker Don McPherson.

This workshop reframes conversations around masculinity—moving away from
deficit-based language like “toxic” and instead promoting what it means to
be *Authentic, Whole, and Evolving (A.W.E.)*. The goal is to create space
for reflection, accountability, and growth—particularly among young men and
masculine-presenting students and employees—while remaining inclusive of
all identities and experiences.
