the achievements of First-Generation college students, recognizes the
unique challenges they often face, and highlights the vibrant First-Gen
community across campus. Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in
events, connect with colleagues, and celebrate student accomplishments.

*Who is a First-Generation College Student?*
A First-Generation college student is someone whose parent(s) or
guardian(s) have not earned a four-year college degree. This milestone
often comes with unique challenges and opportunities, and this week is
designed to recognize and celebrate the achievements of First-Gen students.

*Highlights for Faculty & Staff:*

   *Voices of First-Gen College Students Panel* – Hear student stories and
   experiences

   *First-Gen Faculty/Staff Pods* – First-Gen students, faculty, and staff
   will connect and share their experiences, challenges, and successes

   *From First to Finish: Helping First-Gens Thrive* – Explore high-impact
   practices to better support First-Gen students

   *“First-Gen Fry-Day” Celebration & French Fry Bar* – Celebrate students
   and the campus First-Gen community
