Advising Info for LIB190 and Info Lit Exam

Dear Advisors,

Please be aware of the following options for students to meet the Cardinal
Core Information Literacy Requirement.


   1. Take the LIB190 course this summer online in 5-weeks.
   Registration for summer classes starts on April 7th.
   The LIB190 summer course CRN in Banner is: 4049.

   2. Register to take the LIB190 15-week course in the Fall semester.
   Please note that there is limited seating in fall sections for
   returning/continuing students.

   3. Take and pass the Information Literacy Competency Exam.
   The exam will be available April 7 – 25.
   Students can sign up for the exam here

   NOTE:
   Students currently enrolled (spring 2025) in the course are not eligible
   to take the exam.
   Students can only take the exam once, if they have already done so they
   cannot take it again.
