The CEES Seminar Series presents:
*Dr. Amanda Meier, *Dept. of Biological Sciences SUNY Plattsburgh
*Effects of microbial mutualists belowground on species interactions
aboveground*
Although often unseen, microbial communities belowground can shape species
interactions aboveground. In this seminar, I'll examine the impacts of
microbial mutualists on the resistance of plants to insect herbivores and
pathogens, and consider how we can manipulate microbial communities through
sustainable agricultural practices to promote natural pest control.
*Friday March 28th** 3:30**pm. *
*Hudson 106*
*Reception prior to the talk at 3:00*
