Are you interested in integrating the art museum into your courses but not
sure where to start? Are you intrigued but not sure how visual art can
connect to your discipline? Let us show you! Kara Jefts, Museum Collections
Manager, and Michaela Rife, Assistant Professor, Art History, will be
hosting two collections visit demonstration sessions for faculty. Both
sessions will feature art that connects to a range of disciplines from
across the Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. During the session,
we will model exercises that can be tailored to your classes. These
exercises demonstrate the value of using artwork as a catalyst to encourage
students to slow down and pay attention to detail; they foster critical
thinking and conversation that can be carried into the rest of the semester.
*Thursday, March 27, 12:00-12:50 pm, Myers Room 232*
