End Days by playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer

 End Days, by playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer, will be performed at the
Hartman Theatre, John Myers Building, on Thursday, March 6 to Saturday,
March 8 starting at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m.

Winner of the 2008 American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg Citation.
“A rapturously funny play about a family trying to survive in a world
hurtling toward Armageddon proves that the right playwright can inspire
healing laughter in even the most sobering subjects.”-Miami Herald

The play focuses on sixteen year-old Rachel Stein who is having, to put it
lightly, a bad year. Her father hasn’t changed out of his pajamas since
9/11. Her mother has begun a close, personal relationship with Jesus. Her
new neighbor, a sixteen-year-old Elvis impersonator, has fallen for her
hard. And the Apocalypse is coming Wednesday. Her only hope is that Stephen
Hawking will save them all. (Concord Theatricals)

Director Margaret Swick describes the performance as “a comedic look at the
journey taken through healing from trauma. The cast features theatre majors
and students from across campus, along with a large design and technical
crew, to bring this world to life. We are excited to share this story with
our audience!”

End Days kicks off the Department of Theatre’s 2025 Spring season.
Admission is $8 for General Admission, and $3 for Student Association
members.
