Mandatory Compliance Training - Spring Assignments


I'm writing to share the list of Compliance Training Assignments for Spring
2025. Compliance training will be adminsistered using the SafeColleges
(Vector Solutions) platform. Training is completely online, accessible from
MyPlattsburgh portal, self-paced and can be completed at your convenience
around your schedule. The total training for the term is estimated at 149
minutes in length and the due date is 5/1/2025. These trainings have been
assigned to all employees to comply with external annual mandates.


Spring 2025 Compliance Training Assignments:

   1.

   Cyber Awareness for Employees at Educational Institutions: Security
   Awareness Essentials (28 min.)
   2.

   Drug Free Workplace (24 min.)
   3.

   Email and Messaging Safety (23 min.)
   4.

   FERPA: Confidentiality of Records (20 min.)
   5.

   Hazard Communication: Right to Understand (GHS) (32 min.)
   6.

   Workplace Violence: Awareness and Prevention (22 min.)

Accessing your SafeColleges Course Assignments:

   -

   Emails will be sent to @plattsburgh.edu users, with the subject: [Official]
   SafeColleges Compliance Training Assignment. Click the link within the
   email to login.
   -

    Visit the MyPlattsburgh Portal to click the icon on the main menu to
   login.


Reminders and Deadlines:

   -

   Reminders of outstanding training assignments will be sent monthly by
   email.
   -

   The training deadline for each course is set as 5/1/2025.
   -

   Employees who do not have a dedicated computer or quiet space to meet
   their training requirements and/or deadlines should speak with their
   supervisors so that every effort can be made to support you.
   -

   Employees who need reasonable accommodations to meet training
   requirements and/or deadlines, should speak with their supervisors or
   contact Human Resource Services at hrs at plattsburgh.edu.

Extra Training:

   -

   Additional training courses can be found in the "Extra Training" section
   within SafeColleges. The course library offers a wide range of topics.
   Users can browse the library and complete additional courses that interest
   you or refer back to completed training topics as a refresher.
