Our alumni love Plattsburgh, and they want to share their knowledge and
perspectives with today’s students.
The Alumni in the Classroom Experience (ACE), funded by the Plattsburgh
Alumni Association, makes hosting alumni visits easier and more affordable
for academic departments. More importantly, it gives students a seamless
path to network with graduates in their fields.
With more than 74,000 alumni, we have access to many individuals who have a
deep love for SUNY Plattsburgh and accomplished careers in varied fields.
Their expertise, life experience and diverse voices can provide value and
inspiration to our students. And, we’re happy to help you identify alumni
to speak with your students.
The ACE program was initially developed as an in-person program, but the
pandemic required us to go virtual. Having seen success in both formats, we
are allowing for both in-person and virtual ACE programs this semester.
Grants to support in-person programming will be made up to $500 and require
submission of a paper application and budget.
As in past years, applicants may design and coordinate the visit to meet
their goals. This may be a guest lecture in one class, a full day of
activities or multiple engagements over a series of days.
All alumni who are invited to participate will be acknowledged as ACE
participants and receive a letter of appreciation and small thank you gift
from the Office of Alumni Relations.

funding). Applications for alumni visits occurring during the Spring 2025
semester must be submitted a minimum of two weeks before the visit.

Sincerely,
Paul
