SUNY Plattsburgh Focus Groups

As a part of the academic planning process, we are conducting a few focus
groups with faculty to gather thoughts on how Plattsburgh is delivering on
meeting our “societal needs.”  There are many ways to define societal
needs, but we’ve landed here:

"Societal needs are core capacities such as critical thinking, civil
communication, collaboration, civic responsibility, and cultural awareness,
as well as broader mission-driven outcomes like advancing diversity and
inclusion, promoting social and environmental responsibility, and
strengthening democratic and community life. Programs and other campus
initiatives advance societal needs by addressing the knowledge, skills,
values, and commitments that higher education must cultivate to prepare
students as engaged citizens who help their communities thrive."


We would very much like to have your thoughts.  We will be meeting:
December 2: 11:00-12:00, Wilson Common Room (CVH)
December 4: 12:00-1:00, Wilson Common Room (CVH)

We understand how busy you all are this time of the semester.  The academic
planning committee wants conversations like these to be ongoing.  But you
