The CEES Seminar Series presents:
*Kelley Slimon*, PhD candidate Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Cornell
University

*Time-sensitive species dynamics: exploring the reciprocal effects of
herbivory and plant phenology*

As the natural world faces unprecedented change, understanding the complex
relationships between species and their environments has never been more
crucial. At the heart of this challenge lies the question: what drives the
distribution of species across space and time? In this talk, I will focus
on the axis of time by exploring how biotic interactions shape the timing
of key life history events. Specifically, I will examine the reciprocal
relationships between herbivory and plant flowering time, revealing the
mechanisms that govern these interactions and their implications at the
community level.
*Friday Nov 1st** 3:30**pm. *
*Hudson 106*
*Reception prior to the talk at 3:00*
