*Speaker: *Tim Mihuc, professor of environmental science at SUNY
Plattsburgh, associate director of Lake Champlain Sea Grant and director of
the Lake Champlain Research Institute.

*Description: *Lake Champlain invasive species over the past 30+ years
include the zebra mussel, spiny waterflea and fishhook waterflea to name
only a few. The Lake Champlain Research Institute has studied these
invasions and asked questions such as: What are the impacts on native
communities? Do communities recover from an invasion? Do invaders persist?
In this webinar, Tim Mihuc will explore these issues through the lens of
"The Adventures of Captain Fishhook Waterflea," a short story about Lake
Champlain.
