Healing-Centered Practices for Communities in Crisis, Friday, April 19 💥
Join us for the *Risk to Resilience Symposium: Communication &
Healing-Centered Practices for Communities in Crisis*, from* 1 to 5
p.m.*,* Friday,
April 19*, starting in the* Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center. *
The event will be a free forum for those on the frontlines — in health
care, mental health, law enforcement, education (including students) and
more — providing concrete strategies for effective communications to help
communities move from risk to resilience.
It will feature keynote speaker* Dr. Vincent Covello*. The founder &
director of the Center for Risk Communication, Covello is a world-renowned
expert in risk, crisis & high-stress communication. His pioneering research
on the components of trust, message mapping & mental noise theory has
transformed how organizations engage stakeholders during high-concern
situations. His insights have guided communication best practices adopted
by the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control,
Environmental Protection Agency, National Institutes of Health & Department
of Homeland Security, among others.
