session: “Banner Registration: What Your Students See,” facilitated by the
Academic Advising Office with guest presence Eli Remillard, Assistant
Registrar.

You might advise, coach, or counsel students about what courses to take,
but do you know what and how they experience looking up courses and
registering on Banner 9? Knowing and seeing what students encounter in
Banner 9 registration pages will help you to advise and to troubleshoot
roadblocks they tell you about.

We will provide you with:

   -

   Navigation to Banner 9 pages used for browsing and registering–and a
   pro-tip or two
   -

   A short, live demo of a few fall 2024 course searches from the student’s
   view–some that will go smoothly and some that will provoke common error
   messages, and
   -

   Time for Q&A with the Registrar’s Office and Academic Advising, as
   needed.


*Next in Advising *content is geared toward academic advisor, counselor,
and coach development, but *all campus staff are welcome to attend and
participate*. Perfectly timed between midterm grade submission and the
beginning of course advisement period, we hope that you can join us for a
half hour.
