*Trillium Chamber Players to Perform Spring 2024 Concert*

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2024) — The Trillium Chamber Players will
perform a spring 2024 concert on Sunday, February 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the
Krinovitz Recital Hall, in Hawkins Hall.

The group will perform works by Malcolm Arnold, Valerie Coleman, Claude
Bolling and others. The performance will also feature regional guest
musicians Michael Lewandowski and Matt Dunne on drums and bass, and guest
narrator Lewis Sheridan Hughes. Hughes, a descendant of the great American
poet and social activist, Langston Hughes, will narrate portions of
Coleman’s “Portraits for Langston,” a tour-de force piece based on the
poems of Langston Hughes and his experiences in Paris and Harlem.



This performance is a collaboration between the SUNY Plattsburgh Music
Department and the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and is
hosted as part of campus Black History Month programming.
