Employee Assistance Program Coordinator Needed

SUNY Plattsburgh is seeking a current employee (or two) to serve as the
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Coordinator(s) for our campus.

Coordinator is responsible for providing confidential problem assessment
and referral services to campus employees, their family members, and
retirees. The Coordinator(s) will also meet with and assist the EAP
Committee with program publicity and training of supervisors and employees.
The successful candidate(s) will attend training when offered and be
responsible for submitting a monthly report regarding how many employees
have utilized EAP and what basic topics were discussed. The EAP Coordinator
is responsible for approximately eight hours per week, which includes a
combination of in-person and email/phone obligations.

EAP recognizes that employees are people first and are subject to stress
and pressures that impact their ability to be effective at work. EAP is a
voluntary program designed to offer a professional, confidential source of
help for people who need assistance with personal issues or concerns. The
NYS Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is jointly sponsored by labor and
management.

This position is compensated via release time from your current position
(which equates to one course per semester for FT academic employees) so
coordination with your supervisor would be essential.
