New Fitness Center Information

The renovation and construction of Memorial Hall has finally ended. Thirty
years after the first fitness center opened in the fall of 1994, and after
eight years of planning and construction, the new fitness center in
Memorial Hall is ready to open for the spring semester starting Monday,
January 29th. The facility has been expanded and now includes a new rock
wall and aerobics studio inside the main facility.  A large group activity
room on the second floor will host Spinning and Kickboxing classes among
other activities.  Hours have been expanded on the weekends, and close to a
million dollars of new exercise equipment has been installed for your
fitness and exercise enjoyment.

The climbing wall will be available for bouldering throughout the day and
roped climbing will be available M-F from 6pm to 8pm.

The group exercise program is also getting started by offering close to
thirty classes per week including all of your favorites: HIIT, Hardbody,
yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Kickboxing, and Zumba.

Fitness center hours starting Monday: M-F 7am to 10pm; Saturday and Sunday:
12pm to 9pm.

Students - If you have paid the Rec Fee on your tuition bill and have
accepted your charges, you are all set to get started.
Faculty/Staff - You can follow the registration and payment link in your
MyPlattsburgh account or register at the Student Financial Services Office.

Please bring your campus ID with you each time you visit as it will be
necessary to access the facility.

This is a special time to be a member of the campus community.  Stop down
on Monday or anytime next week and take a tour or jump right in.
