Equity Advocate Training Dates Announced

Please join Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for our upcoming Equity
Advocate Training opportunities. Equity Advocates (EAs) are employees who
serve as consultants and advisors to search committees to support the
growth and development of workforce diversity. The benefits of
participating in the training are:


● Support the growth and development of workforce diversity
● Learn skills to promote equity-minded practices
● Receive training that allows you to serve as an Equity Advocate
● Gain useful information about how unconscious bias and microaggressions
impact the hiring process and workplace
● Meet new people and learn about best practices.

Please submit your nomination form as soon as possible to be considered for
inclusion on the workshop's dates, which are on:



*Monday, February 12th and Wednesday February 14th 10am to 12 noon (Hosted
on Zoom)*


OR



*Tuesday, February 13th and Thursday, February 15th 10am to 12
noon** (Training Session held in-person)*

*Hermes Conference Room, Au Sable Hall*


* **On February 15th, in the Hermes Conference Room from 12pm to 1pm, there
will be an optional celebratory lunch where we will distribute certificates
to all new Equity Advocates who have completed the February 2024 training. *
