Redcay - Reimagining WELCOME at SUNY Plattsburgh

We’re pleased to announce the kick-off of the program verification phase
for a welcoming new home for Admissions, Institutional Advancement, and
partner programs in Redcay Hall. This effort will build upon the 2022
Program Design study that architecture+ completed for the project.



The design team, which consists of architecture+ and Shepley Bulfinch, will
be on campus next Monday and Tuesday February 12-13 to  get feedback on the
vision for the project with the campus community. These workshops will
focus on the exploration of big-picture themes and questions that will
inform the project, the articulation of shared vision, and the preliminary
development of a set of key goals, or guiding principles, that will be used
to establish a “north star” for the project. These workshops have been
designed to be both inclusive and participatory, with members of the SUNY
Plattsburgh community – including students, faculty, staff and
administration—invited to share their perspectives and participate in the
development of shared goals for the future of Redcay Hall. Your ideas are
an important part of this process! We would like to invite you to
participate in the following activities:



·        Visioning Sessions (Faculty and Staff): Learn about the project,
explore key themes and guiding principles,  work in breakout groups to
develop a shared vision for the future of these programs in Redcay Hall.
Both of the following sessions will take place in the Cardinal Lounge
2nd Floor,
Angell College Center

o   Visioning Session A: Monday, February 12, 3-4:30pm

o   Visioning Session B: Tuesday, February 13, 12-1:30pm

·        All about Plattsburgh (Students, Faculty, Staff): Stop by a pop-up
session in Angell College Center to meet our team and share what you think
makes the SUNY Plattsburgh campus and community special. Members of the
design team will be stationed in the ACC from 9:30am-2:30pm on Monday,
February 12.
