*New Administrative Policy: Title IX Grievance Policy under 2024
Regulations (2008.0)*

The U.S. federal government is responsible for Title IX, a civil rights law
that prohibits sex discrimination in education programs that receive
federal funding. New federal regulations were recently released and Title
IX at SUNY Plattsburgh responded by creating a new Title IX Grievance
Policy under 2024 Regulations. This policy shall extend to all college
students and college employees, as well as contractors/vendors and visitors
to the campus. This Grievance Procedure applies to incidents that occur on
or after August 1, 2024. Any incidents reported under this Grievance
Procedure that occurred on or before July 31, 2024 will be processed
through the institution’s prior policy Title IX Grievance Policy Under 2020
