*Cans for Cookies*

SUNY Plattsburgh’s Circle of the National Leadership Honor Society -
Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) is excited to invite you to participate in our
upcoming “*Cans for Cookies*” event to support the students in our campus
community that experience food insecurity.


Our intent is to collect non-perishable items such as canned goods, pasta,
rice, and other essential items to support our students. We will also
accept cash donations. In exchange, there will be some scrumptious baked
cookies by a wonderful local bakery (*Rambach's Bakery*) as an expression
of thanks for your donation. *All proceeds will go to the Campus Food Shelf*
.


*Skunk Day*!

On Thursday, May 2 between 11am and 2pm, the SUNY Plattsburgh Circle of
Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) National Leadership Honor Society will be
continuing its tradition of “Skunk Day.” Skunk Day is a long standing
tradition that is unique to the SUNY Plattsburgh Circle of ODK. The basic
concept is that members carry our stuffed skunk, Fiona, to faculty/staff
members on campus who have been “skunked.” If someone is “skunked,” Fiona
is brought to the person’s office and they are asked to provide the ODK
members with either a monetary donation or a non-perishable item(s). This
individual now has the opportunity to identify the next person to be
“skunked.” The ODK members will then carry Fiona to that person’s office.
And so the day unfolds with Fiona traveling around campus from office to
office. *All proceeds go to the SUNY Plattsburgh Food Shelf*. Please

We believe every small contribution can make a big difference in someone's
life so we encourage you to swing by our table in the Angell College Center
(ACC) *this Thursday, May 2nd!*

When: Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 11am - 1 pm

Where: 1st floor of the ACC. We will be tabling near Campus Express


*Please Note*: If you are unable to attend the event, you can still lend
your support by dropping off your donations at the Campus Food Shelf that
is located within "Burghy's" on the 1st floor of the ACC.
