NYS Workforce Language Survey

In her 2024 State of the State agenda, Governor Hochul announced plans for
the NYS Office of Language Access to develop a pilot language access
certification program. The pilot program aims to offer oral and written
language assessments and training in the top NYS languages for the
workforce that speak a language other than English.



To advance this initiative, the NYS Office of Language Access (OLA) has
developed a survey to gather information about the languages spoken by the

*All faculty and staff are encouraged to complete this survey. The survey
takes under 5 minutes and will remain open until Friday, May 10. *The
information shared will inform OLA's future planning regarding language
training and testing opportunities.

languageaccess.ny.gov. For any questions about this survey, please email
languageaccess at ogs.ny.gov.
