The SBE invites you and interested students to our next faculty research
presentation. This presentation will feature a study by Assistant Professor
Chunnan Zhang of the Accounting Department. Dr. Zhang addresses a very
interesting and, certainly, timely topic:

Title: "Relative Performance Evaluation On CEO Compensation During Economic
Downturns”
Date: Wednesday October 11, 2023
Location: Au Sable HAll, room 114 (Hermes Conference Room)
Time: 12:00pm - 12:30pm

In this paper, the following research questions are explored:

   1. Is there a higher usage of relative performance evaluation on CEOs’
   compensation during the economic downturn than the normal time?
   2. Do firms give CEOs higher rewards when they outperform their peers
   during financial crisis time than the normal periods?
