Simulation* on *Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 12:30-2:30 PM in the Warren
Ballrooms*. Faculty, staff, students and community partners are welcome to
participate.

*What is a Poverty Simulation?*

An interactive immersion experience that sensitizes participants to the
realities of poverty. Participants take on either the identity of someone
living in poverty, or the role of a professional supporting someone in
poverty.



*Session Goals and Outcomes:*

   - Participants will gain an increased awareness of poverty.
      - Participants will examine their own behaviors while "living" in
      poverty.
      - Participants will examine the challenges of living in poverty.
      - Participants will discuss opportunities to impact poverty in their
      communities.
      - Participants will learn about opportunities to affect change as
      Human Services, Social Work and Counseling professionals
