Monday, November 6th 2023 will be the second annual Black Solidarity Day:
Social Justice Teach-In

at SUNY Plattsburgh.


The theme for this year is: "You Belong: Let's Erase the Hate." This is a
day to meditate on the meaning of social justice and civic engagement in
what could be a multi-racial democracy. Black Solidarity Day is meant "to
highlight racial injustices, societal inequities, and to illuminate how
Black voices are integral to American life

and our college community. We encourage you to plan to incorporate that day
into your syllabus or work schedule and consider re-assigning your classes
or employees to participate in the event.


Please talk with your friends, mentors, and colleagues, and then propose a
session. Student-led sessions are welcome! The deadline for proposals is
September 30th.
