*Borrowing books from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)* will
soon become faster than ever for our campus community. That's because
Feinberg Library has implemented a new resource-sharing service within our
Alma system.

Alma is the behind-the-scenes platform that we use to manage physical
collections, digital subscriptions, and licenses. This system now supports
borrowing from other libraries—faster and more efficiently than our
existing Illiad system.

*An easy, transparent process for patrons*
There's no learning curve needed here, since the new ILL system's user
interface is very similar to the ILLiad system. Your search selections will
still auto-populate into an online form when you choose to receive
materials not available in Feinberg Library.

NOTE: For now, only* books and media *will process through the Alma system.
Article requests will be handled automatically in ILLiad; you will not need
to select any separate options when making requests.

The new system will also offer *longer loan periods* in many cases, as well
as *easy renewals*.

We plan to launch the Alma ILL service by the end of this month. As always,
feel free to contact our ILL team with any questions.
