The CEES Seminar Series presents:

*Rachael Miller*, Founder/Chief Ocean Lover of the Rozalia Project for a
Clean Ocean, National Geographic Explorer, Explorers Club Fellow

*Expedition Science for a Clean Lake and Ocean*



Rozalia Project, a Vermont-based NGO, has been working on the problem of
marine debris for the last 13 years on Lake Champlain, the Gulf of Maine
and beyond. One of their areas of focus is microplastics and anthropogenic
microfiber. In this talk, Rozalia Project Founder and lead expedition
scientist Rachael Miller, will share methods and results from their
microplastics and microfiber work in Lake Champlain, two sampling
expeditions that spanned the entire Hudson River as well as, more recently,
Hawaii and the Arctic.
