*Adam Starke '01, *Nature Conservancy Coastal Scientist
*Notes from the field: A personal perspective on two decades of marine and
coastal conservation work in NY*
Adam Starke (B.A. Environmental Sciences - 2001) has been working along the
coast of New York on a wide range of important marine and coastal
conservation projects over the past 20 years as a Coastal Scientist with

about the challenges and opportunities of working along the coast in this
rapidly evolving landscape. Along the way, you’ll learn why creative
collaborations may be the key to success, how embracing failure can help
lead to big wins, and what new opportunities are quickly developing off of
NY’s coastline.
