Course advisement period publicity to students

The message below was posted on today’s Student Digest. A subsequent
message will be sent to the all student email list early next week,
providing a few more details and actions for them to take. Advisors, please
prepare your advising messages and scheduling instructions to send to
advisees; primary advisors will receive an email with course advising
details this week.

COURSE ADVISEMENT TIME is coming! Time to meet with your advisor soon.

The COURSE ADVISEMENT PERIOD for Winter & Spring 2024 classes is Oct. 23 to
Nov. 3. Registration begins the week after. Here are a few considerations
as you prepare:

   Thinking about changing your major? Now is the time to declare a new
   major

   so you can meet with an advisor in that major during course advisement.

   Check out the Course Advisement
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/resources/advising/course-advisement.html>
   web page “Students” menu for how to find your advisor's name & contact
   info, how to prepare for advising, and other important dates and
   instructions.

   Respond to your advisor when they reach out to you, and schedule an
   appointment with them.

By meeting with your advisor, you get the PIN code you need to register at
your assigned time. Stay connected to your advisor; stay on track.
