Institute for Ethics 25th Anniversary Celebration, 10/14 (Sa) at 1pm

 The Institute for Ethics in Public Life invites you to a celebration of
the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Institute. Since it began to
operate in Fall 1998, the Institute has been an active and important part
of the SUNY Plattsburgh community.

The program includes presentations by:

Dr. E. Thomas Moran, Founding Director of the Institute for Ethics in
Public Life (1998-2016), SUNY Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus. Dr.
Moran was the first person to hold the title of Provost at SUNY
Plattsburgh, where he had responsibility for both academic and student
affairs. During his long association with college he has been the recipient
of many awards for service and teaching. He is also the author of 'The
Keeping the Flame Project', which appears on the College's Alumni Website.

Dr. Jonathan Slater, Director Emeritus of the Institute for Ethics in
Public Life (2016-2022), Professor Emeritus of Public Relations and former
chair of the Department of Journalism & Public Relations ( 2015-2021),
Fellow at the Institute for Ethics in Public Life (Spring 2005), Founding
Director of the Jewish Studies Program (2015-2022).

Dr. Daniel Lake, Director of the Institute for Ethics in Public Life
(22-present), Fellow at the Institute (Spring 2015), and Chair of the
Department of Political Science.

And a round-table discussion featuring:

Dr. Tracie Church Guzzio, Fellow at the Institute (Fall 2004), Director of
the Redcay Honors Center, and Professor of English.

Dr. Raymond Johnson, Senior Scholar at the Institute and Founding Director
of the Institute of Climate Studies, USA.

Dr. Gary Kroll, Fellow at the Institute (Spring 2004) and Professor of
History.

Ms. Michelle Marasch Ouellette, Fellow at the Institute (Fall 2018),
Interim Director of the Institute (Fall 2021), and Associate Professor of
Public Relations.


Please join us at 1pm on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Krinovitz Recital Hall,
Hawkins Hall. After the presentations there will be a reception in the
Thomas Moran Seminar Room, Hawkins 233. Light refreshments will be served.
