Long-Term Patterns in Phytoplankton Community Composition and Abundance in
Lake Champlain
Long-term monitoring can be useful for understanding patterns, and
exploring potential drivers of changes in community composition over time.
In lake ecosystems, phytoplankton are commonly monitored because they serve
as the base of the food web, indicators of water quality, and can have a
significant impact on the overall health of the ecosystem. This talk will
discuss long-term patterns in phytoplankton community composition and
abundance in Lake Champlain from 1970 to 2021.
*Friday May 12th, **3:30pm. *
*Hudson 106*
*All seminars are free and open to the public. *
