EOP Summer Academy Donations & Van Driver Volunteers

EOP is gearing up for our 44th Summer Academy and will be welcoming nearly
100 EOP students to campus for the month of July.  In order to be
eligible for EOP one must qualify as being economically disadvantaged
according to SUNY EOP Income guidelines, and priority is given to
applicants from historically disadvantaged/underserved backgrounds.  Many
of our students show up with minimal necessities.  We are reaching out to
our Plattsburgh family to see if anyone may be able to contribute any of
the following items:

   1. Bottled water;
   2. Twin XL sheets/blankets/pillows/pillowcases;
   3. Boxed/portable fans;
   4. laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets;
   5. body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and shower caps;
   6. toothbrush, toothpaste;
   7. Ice pops (it gets hot here in the summer!);
   8. Pads/Tampons;
   9. Deodorant;
   10. Bug Spray/Sunscreen;
   11. Bath Towels/Washcloths;
   12. Duffel Bags/Luggage (could be gently used!)

Any assistance and/or contributions are greatly appreciated!

We are also in need of van drivers for our weekend trips and weeknight
shopping trips.  If you would be willing to volunteer your time shuttling
students during the weekdays/weekends, we would greatly appreciate it!
Anyone interested, please email Cassie at cchri001 at plattsburgh.edu to be
added to a list, and sent information on how to become van certified/LENS
cleared.

If you can think of any other way to assist or contribute to welcoming our
EOP students to campus this summer, please do not hesitate to reach out!
