 are just around the corner, and State employees can receive a 50% discount
on tickets to a wide range of events taking place across the Adirondack
region. From January 12-22, 2023, New York State will host 1,500 elite
college athletes from 600 universities and 50 nations as they compete
across 12 winter sports and 86 medal events. The majority of events will
take place at the newly-renovated Lake Placid Olympic facilities and other
ORDA venues including Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Gore, and Whiteface Mountain.
Nearby, the Saranac Lake Civic Center will hold 24 curling games while to
the west, SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam, and Clarkson University will host 45
ice hockey face-offs.

Lake Placid’s Main Street will also be closed off for the duration of the
Games for the FISU Games Festival
