Invitation: SBE Workshops

Hello, SUNY Plattsburgh Colleagues, Students & Staff:
We, at the School of Business and Economics [SBE], wish to extend to you an
open-invitation to attend
The SBE Workshops that are presented throughout the terms. These
presentations are at Au Sable [AS]
room AS 114. The presentation will start at 12 noon and finish after
30-minutes [Q&A included]. This is
the usual time allocated for presentations at academic conferences so it is
excellent practice for the
presenters.
Ok a Cut-to-the Chase Question that you probably have. “I am NOT a
Business-Type so why should I
bother???”
Well, most of these presentations deal with Statistical and Data-Analytics
that are addressed to
Problems & Topics that are very often germane to your Non- Business or
Non-Economics context. For
example, last term we had the following presentations
Topic Optimizing surveillance and management of emerald ash borer in urban
environments. Presenter Prof. Sabah Bushaj SBE[SUNY],
Topic: A simulation-deep reinforcement learning (SiRL) approach for
epidemic control
optimization. Presenter Prof. Sabah Bushaj SBE[SUNY],
Topic: The Applications of the Graph Theory in Various Fields of Study.
Presenter Prof. Kwangseek Choe SBE[SUNY]
As you can see these presentations include interesting topics that have a
wide-academic appeal.
Additionally, feel free to brown-bag it and also there will be Donuts at
the presentations.
All of the Presentation-materials, PowerPoints and the like, will be
Archived at the SBE. If you would like
to have any of the Presentation-materials just contact Ed Lusk and he will
send the requested material
to you.
Finally, IF YOU would like to make a presentation of your work to the SBE
Workshop, that would be
SUPER and we welcome the opportunity to discuss your work.
