On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 12 noon, we will be hosting a Welcoming

Distinguished Chair, Dr. Kristine Plouffe-Malette. This event will take
place at the Center for the Study of Canada & Institute on Québec Studies,

Dr. Kristine Plouffe-Malette, who will be with us at SUNY Plattsburgh for
the fall 2023 semester, is an assistant professor at the University of
Sherbrooke, and Director of the Master's degree program in applied
international law and international politics (DIPIA). She is also an

(CEIM), and the Jean Monnet Chair on European integration (Université
Laval).
The focus of Dr. Plouffe-Malette’s research project, while in residence at
the Institute on Québec Studies, is titled “The Quebec-New York border
crisis: what remains of the orderly processing of asylum claims at Roxham
Road?”
We would be most delighted if you could join us in welcoming Dr.
Plouffe-Malette to our campus.
Please send your kind RSVP either via email to me at
