August is Parking Registration Month for Employees

August is 'Parking Registration Month.'  All registration guidelines and
helpful links can be found on the Campus Parking page at
www.plattsburgh.edu/parking for employees with access to MyPlattsburgh
<http://my.plattsburgh.edu/>. This includes state employees with union
representation, Management/Confidential employees, Community Directors,
Campus Persons, emeriti and retirees.

Other employees of organizations doing business on campus should refer to
their affiliation's authorized agent (usually the HR coordinator) for
specific registration guidelines set forth in the contract terms with SUNY
Plattsburgh. These affiliations include Auxiliary Services, Research
Foundation, Chartwells, and Start-UP NY.

*Important Parking Dates & Deadlines*

Aug 1:        Vehicle registration begins for the Fall session.
Aug 1-30:   August is registration month.*
Aug 23:      Parking assistance at the new faculty orientation at AuSable
Hall, 10a-11:30a.*
Aug 25-26: Hang tags are disbursed from the Angell College Center lobby,
9a-Noon.
Aug 28:      Valid parking tags are required on the first day of classes.
Aug 28-29: Hang tags are disbursed from the Angell College Center lobby,
9a-Noon.
Aug 30:      Late registrants claim hang tags from UPD for the remainder of
the session.
Sep 15:      Unclaimed 2023-24 faculty/staff tags are interoffice mailed to
employee office addresses.
Sep 20:      Weekly appeals meetings begin.
Sep 30:      Last year's 2022-23 faculty/staff tags expire at 11:59p.
Oct 1:         Deadline to display new 2023-24 faculty/staff tags.

*If your pre-registered, legally parked vehicle is cited for 'no permit
visible' in August, email the ticket # to parking at plattsburgh.edu for
expunging (physical ticket is not required.)
