*PCOS and Childhood Experiences* is a preliminary survey open to SUNY
Plattsburgh staff, faculty, and students, and is trying to establish the
prevalence of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, commonly known as PCOS, and its
possible links with childhood experiences. PCOS is a highly prevalent
universal and complex endocrine-metabolic ‘disorder’ affecting menstruating
people, women of reproductive age, and can have such far reaching effects
as infertility, excessive weight gain, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular
disease, and depression, to name a few. However, it remains severely
understudied. Given our commitment to gender equity, diversity and
inclusion and to our community's mental and physical well being, it seems
especially pertinent to take this brief survey. The link is:
https://forms.gle/Yx2SGvShHshqsew19. It should take about 10 minutes to
complete. *The survey is 100% anonymous *and only those willing to be
contacted for a *follow-up in exchange for a gift card* can leave their
email addresses at the end of the survey. *Please note that everyone needs
to be 18 or over and shouldn't have taken the survey previously! *All
questions can be directed to amisr001 at plattsburgh.edu.
