"The indictment of Fmr. Pres. Trump", Apr. 5 (W) at noon in-person and Zoom

 The indictment of Former President Donald Trump by a New York grand jury
that was announced on Mar. 30 is the first time in US history a current or
former President has been indicted for criminal acts. As such, this event
(and any further indictments in Georgia or Federal courts) may have major
implications for partisan politics, the rule of law in the United States,
and American political stability.

This colloquy, led by Institute Director Daniel Lake (with Dr. Lucia Manzi,
Political Science), will focus on what we know and what this might mean for
the United States. Since it appears that he will be arraigned on April 4,
we should know the specific charges by the time of our discussion.
