National Hazing Prevention Week
*NATIONAL HAZING PREVENTION WEEK  *is being held from September 26 - 30 by
the Interfraternity Council and Inter-Sorority Association. The schedule is
as follows:

*Monday, September 26: My Hazing Experience, 7 p.m., ACC Ballrooms*
Hear SUNY Plattsburgh and Delta Phi Epsilon alumna Sarah Wild ('11 and '13)
share how she confronted hazing in her organization as an undergraduate and
her tips for how you can address hazing and other problematic behaviors in
your own group. Anti-hazing buttons will be distributed at this program for
you to wear throughout the week. This opportunity is made possible through
a partnership through Fraternity & Sorority Life and Counseling & Human
Services and the Alumni in the Classroom Experience Grant.

*Tuesday, September 27: United Against Hazing Social Media Campaign*

*Wednesday, September 28: Fraternity & Sorority Hazing Case Study
Competition, 1 - 3 p.m. via Zoom*

*Thursday, September 29: Unless a Death Occurs: Hazing Examined Documentary
and Discussion, 8 p.m., ACC Ballrooms*
View parts of the Mountain Lake PBS documentary about the 2003 hazing death
of SUNY Plattsburgh Freshman Walter Dean Jennings III followed by a
discussion.

*Friday, September 30: Candlelight Vigil for VIctims of VIolence, 4 p.m. -
ACC Amite Plaza*
Hazing is one of many violent crimes in American society. Join in this
vigil to learn about the impact of violence on victims.
