The Crescent Formation basalt defines the iconic horseshoe-shaped map
pattern of the Olympic National Park in NW Washington State. In this talk,
I present our efforts to document and understand the structures (faults,
folds, and fabrics) that helped the basalt rock unit change into this
shape. Warning,
pretty images of deformed rocks will be shown!
If you have any questions regarding the seminar please contact Dr. Mark
