Wilderness first aid

The Department of Adventure Sports and Expeditionary Studies is hosting a
Wilderness
First Aid course.
This is a 16 hour, First Aid course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip
leader who
wants basic first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and
outdoor groups. This
course meets the American Camp Association guidelines.
Dates December 2 and 3 (attendance on both days is required). Cost $200.
This course may also be used to recertify Wilderness First Responder
certification.
A full Wilderness First Responder course (72+ hours. The industry standard
for
professional outdoor guides, ski patrol, and trip leaders, or for
individuals who want a
high level of wilderness medical training for extended personal backcountry
trips or
expeditions) will be hosted in late January/early February 2023.
