colloquy for Wednesday, Oct. 26, at noon (on Zoom, see below):
"From Transaction to Transformation in the Academy and Beyond: The Ethical
Implications of Research on How We Make Decisions"
Throughout history, the academy has separated the mind from the body and
thinking from feeling. This talk will look at some of the recent research
on factors that influence our thinking and decision-making as it questions
the need for new approaches to dealing with people.

Michelle Marasch Ouellette, APR, is an Associate Professor of Public
Relations at SUNY Plattsburgh. Her research focuses on crisis communication
by organizations and on the impact and ethical implications of emotional
appeals.
