NYS Payroll Online - Additional Step of Authentication Now Required

The Office of the State Comptroller has announced a new security feature
that is being added to NYS Payroll Online.  Users will now be prompted to
create a Multifactor Authentication (MFA) prior to accessing your online
payroll information to ensure the security of your private information.
 There are four different ways to do this; the easiest method is to choose
the “SMS Authentication” which sends a code to your cell phone for you to
enter to access the system. The options and instructions can be found in
