Ethics Institute colloquy, Noon on 10/5 on Zoom

 You are all invited to this week's Institute for Ethics in Public Life
colloquy featuring Dr. Richard Gottschall at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 5,
over Zoom.

"Organizational culture and ethics from an entrepreneurial perspective."

We often see stories in the news about organizations experiencing massive
ethical failures. From Wells-Fargo Bank creating fake bank accounts and
giving minority applicants fake job interviews, Ernst and Young employees
cheating on ethics exams, NFL teams conducting fake interviews of minority
applicants for head coaching positions, to a cheating scandal at the Air
Force Academy, well-respected businesses and organizations often fall
well-short of maintaining appropriate ethical standards.

Dr. Gottschall will discuss some of the reasons this happens, and the
challenges of preventing such lapses as we pursue progress.

Dr. Gotschall is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship
in the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York
College at Plattsburgh. He teaches courses in marketing, management, and
entreprenuership.
