The CEES Seminar Series presents:
Steve Langdon (Class of 93, Philosophy and 2009, Env. Sci.)
*Exploring boreal and temperate ecosystems of the **Adirondacks in the
context of climate change*

*There will be a reception prior to the **seminar outside of the lecture
hall starting at 3:00*
Stephen Langdon is a SUNY Plattsburgh graduate who has worked in applied
conservation in the Adirondacks since 1991 from trail maintenance in the
High Peaks region to peatland ecology research. He is the Director of
Shingle Shanty Preserve and Research Station and a consulting ecologist
with Borealis Consulting in Saranac Lake. Steve's research at Shingle
Shanty is focused on understanding the ecological response of peatland
ecosystems to climate change and atmospheric deposition and identifying
factors that contribute to the capacity of these ecosystems to serve as
refugia.
