*Feeling tense? *Missed this year's Coachella and find yourself searching
for something wild to tide yourself over until Burning Man? Looking for a
fun way to liberate yourself from those pesky anxiety-induced emotional
blocks?
Look no further. *It's time to boogie!*
Feinberg Library <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/library/index.html>
and the Employee Assistance Program
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/human-resources/benefits/employee-assistance-program.html>
(EAP) invite you to join us for a *Silent Disco Party* on Wednesday, May
11th, noon–1:00 p.m. and 4:00–5:00 p.m. in the Faculty & Staff Lounge on
level three of the library.
Dancing is one of the most enjoyable methods of relieving stress and
transmuting negative energy. So you won't want to miss this liberating
end-of-semester wellness opportunity expressly for faculty & staff.
*What's a Silent Disco Party?*
In our version, it's an event where you bring your mobile phone and
headphones to gather with others who have done the same. Cue-up your
favorite music and *laissez les bon temps rouler*!
Dance to your tunes individually or select music with friends to dance in a
group to further combine energies with those around you. Silent Discos
generate a lot of singing, too. Since no one else can hear, you can use
your best (or worst) sing-in-the-shower voice.
*Shy? Skeptical? *We understand. But you'll want to give this one a
whirl. Silent
Discos offer a creative and fun way to help manage social anxiety.
So come on over to freely fly your freak flag with friends in Feinberg. Throw
some serious—or not so serious—shapes. We'll even set up a laptop for
people who want to dance along remotely via Zoom.
Be there! (Or be square.)
