Assistance and Attending | May Commencement Events

Dear Campus Community,

We look forward to celebrating with our spring graduates at the three
Commencement events on Saturday, May 21.

The ceremonies will be held in the Stafford Ice Arena due to ongoing
construction in the Field House gymnasium. These will be at 8:30 a.m.,
11:30 a.m., and 2:30 p.m.


*Assistance Still Needed at 11:30 and 2:30 Events*We need a few more
volunteers for 11:30 a.m. and many more for the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.

This assistance is critical in successfully celebrating our graduates and
giving them and their guests an experience worthy of their accomplishments.

We look forward to hearing from you by email to
president_office at plattsburgh.edu with your availability to support our
graduates. Our goal is to have all our volunteers secured by Monday, May 9.

A reminder: All academic and professional staff members are obligated to be
present at Spring Commencement unless an application for absence is
approved in writing at least two weeks in advance.

*Attending in Regalia*
Teaching faculty and professional staff may attend any of the ceremonies in
regalia and do not require a ticket.

We are not assigning particular times based on school or major but using an
open choice path to give graduates the option and allow us to better manage
the programs. You must arrive at least a half-hour before each ceremony in
which you plan to participate.
