May 2 Killam Fellow Research Presentation: Kael Kropp on US and Canadian Medical Assistance in Dying Protocols

Join the Global Education Office and the Political Science Department on
Monday May 2 at 5pm in the Alumni Conference Room for a presentation by
this semester's visiting Killam Fellow, Kael Kropp. Kael will be presenting
research conducted at SUNY Plattsburgh from his research project, "Dying
Right: Biopolitics, discipline, and discourse in Canada’s and the United
States’ medical assistance in dying provision. The presentation will be
followed by comments from senior Political Science and Latin American
Studies major Lucy Allen, and Associate Professor of Sociology Dr. Charles
Allan McCoy, and question-and-answer with the audience. Light refreshments
will be served.
Kael Kropp [he/him] is this year’s visiting Killam Fellow (Fulbright
Canada) from the University of Alberta, where he is completing an honors
degree in political science. He was recently awarded a Joseph-Armand
Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship for his forthcoming Master’s
research on comparative Canadian 2SLGBTQ+ policy at the University of
British Columbia.
